Do I Need to Tell Labelworx Which Stores to Send My Releases To?
You do not need to tell LabelWorx where to send your releases to. We will automatically attempt to send your releases to our entire DSP network unless you previously agreed with LabelWorx that certain stores are opted out.
How Can I Get My Label Onto Beatport?
As default LabelWorx will submit all dance labels to Beatport for their consideration. This happens as soon as your label is approved for distribution.
If your label was previously rejected by Beatport you may be eligible to re-apply.

How Can I Get Label Worx to Distribute to a Store That I Was Previously Dealing With Directly?
You can request that a store that was previously excluded from your Label Worx agreement now be included. This means that Label Worx will then take over full distribution and accounting to this store for you.
You can do this at any time by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then contact the store and request a transfer.
I Wish to Distribute My Music to a Store Directly, Is This Possible?
Once your agreement is signed with Label Worx and the stores that we are distributing to is agreed then those stores will remain with Label Worx for the duration of your agreement.
As per the terms set out in our agreement, it is not possible to remove any stores from your agreement at any time.
Why Does My Label Not Appear on a Store?
There are 2 possible reasons that your label does not appear in a particular store.
Firstly - the particular store in question has decided not to stock your label's releases.
Secondly - your label is new and a store has not yet reviewed your application that we sent on your behalf.
You can check the status of which stores have accepted your label by :
- Select Labels > Record Labels from the top menu.
- Click "Stores" next to your Record Label
Here you can view all of the DSPs that Label Worx is connected to and the status of the application with them.
How Do I Delete a Label From My Label Page?
If you would like to delete a label from your label page then you must contact Label Worx support and ask this to be done via the Request Form.
If the label you wish to delete has releases attached or sales from download stores then the deletion will not possible.
How Do I Get a Replacement Distribution Contract?
Your distribution contract was sent to you when you first signed up with Label Worx. If you have lost your record or the information specified is incorrect, then please contact our support via our Request Form where a replacement will be sent.
Why Has My Label Logo Been Rejected?
Label Worx requires a clean, professional-looking label logo that matches the minimum dimensions of 1000x1000 pixels.
We will only reject your label if the quality is poor, blurred or the overall design is not good.
Your label logo represents the image of your record label. Providing a poor logo will get your label off to a bad start and could lead to your label being rejected from certain stores.
Please make sure that your logo is designed at 1400x1400 pixels or higher. If you take a smaller image and stretch it to fit our 1400x1400 requirements then this will lead to blurring and we will reject your image.
How Long Does It Take for Label Worx to Review My Label After I Request Approval?
We endeavour to get your label reviewed within a week of you requesting approval but due to workloads, staffing holidays and other factors it has been known to take longer on rare occasions.
How Long Does It Take for the Stores to Review My Label After Label Worx Has Approved It for Distribution?
As soon as Label Worx approves your label for distribution we will start the store set-up process.
For those stores that do have a vetting / set up process for labels, we will process your request and send it through to the stores as soon as possible.
Most stores will react and review your labels within 2-3 days of receiving them but depending on workloads, holidays and other factors we recommend allowing at least 3 weeks to get approval from all stores.
Many stores do not require this store set up process such as Spotify, Apple, Amazon etc. so these will be listed as approved instantly.
Why Have Stores Rejected My Label?
Stores reject labels for a variety of reasons. The most common reasons are listed below -
Genre Not Suitable - Labels are commonly rejected because your genre of music does not fit the customer base or profile of that particular store.
Downsizing - From time to time some stores remove labels in order to free up hard drive space for other labels that they feel will sell better on their store.
Poor Sales - Your label may be removed if your sales are poor. Similar to downsizing above - they do this to keep their servers clean and also to keep their store listings clean.
Not Established Enough - If you are a new label you may well find your label is rejected because your label has not yet built up a proven track record of releases and sales.

Why Was My Label Not Approved for Distribution by Label Worx?
If your label was not approved for distribution by Label Worx then the reasons for this will be specified in the email that you received. If you are not clear on what you need to do please contact support.
This rejection is not permanent, we are merely asking you to make improvements to certain areas before approval will be granted.
We only ask you to make changes to your label profile and online presence to ensure that your label has the best chance of being accepted by some of the more challenging stores to get on to.
Why Do Label Worx Request That My Website & Social Networking Pages Are Updated?
It is vital that your label is represented online as this will be massively important when promoting your releases. Many stores check to see that your label is actively promoting your music, so a failure to do this may prevent your label from being accepted by some of the more heavily vetted stores such as Beatport.
The information on your website and social networking pages need to look clean and professional and above all be updated with the latest information such as your label's profile, release schedule, DJ support or anything else you have that will gain you good exposure. It is a good idea to present your release schedule in its entirety also.
It is also vital that you have somewhere online that contains samples of your forthcoming and ideally past releases. Sites such as Soundcloud & Myspace are ideal for this. The stores will need to listen to your music to decide whether they will list your label or not.
We recommend that you set up pages on the following sites - Soundcloud, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.
