The pre-order for your releases can be controlled on 2 levels, on an account level or per release.
Account Level
Releases will be submitted to Beatport or Traxsource for pre-order by default. This feature can be toggled by going to:
Settings > Distribution Settings
You can then change stores to Yes/No depending on your label needs.
Note: Changing this setting does not change pre-created releases, only newly created releases from the point of changing.
Release Level
Pre-orders can also be controlled via the pricing tool which can be accessed from the "Release Details" page?
Note: If you do not see the pricing tool, please contact us via our Request Form and we can enable this for you.
Here you are able to toggle the pre-order Yes/No for certain stores as well as being able to set a pre-order date and rule for iTunes.
Once enabled, you can either set a specific date for your pre-order to begin, or you can leave this completely and use the Default Pre-Order timings.
Pre-Order Defaults
- iTunes - pre-order available as soon as delivered
- Amazon - pre-order available as soon as delivered
- Juno - 28 days before the release date
- Beatport - 28 days before the release date
- Traxsource - 14 days before the release date
Note: If you are setting the iTunes pre-order for a Single or an EP, change the "Enable Pre-Orders" option under the "iTunes Pre Orders" heading to Yes.
