What is the blue verification badge?
The blue verification badge lets people know that a Facebook Page/profile or an Instagram account of public interest is authentic. Facebook apply the blue verification badge to eligible media organizations, public figures and related businesses.
How can I get my account verified?
Label Worx can submit a verification request on your behalf, however, we cannot guarantee your page will be verified as the decision is ultimately that of Facebook. To submit a request, please send the below information via our Request Form
- Channel URL
- A proposal detailing why you should receive the badge, taking into consideration the below information.
Eligibility for the blue verification badge is based on a variety of factors, such as account completeness, policy compliance and public interest.
For Facebook, this means your account must comply with the terms of service, have a cover photo and a profile photo, a name that follows Facebook's guidelines, content posted that adheres to Facebook’s Community standards and a Page that is published or a profile with “Follow” turned on.
For Instagram, this means having a profile picture, a public account and content posted that follows the Community Guidelines.
You should also include additional information to help Facebook better review your request, such as a few sentences explaining why the account should receive the blue verification badge and relevant URLs that help illustrate public interest for the account.
What can I do if my verification request is denied?
The above does not guarantee verification as eligibility depends on a number of other factors such as public interest. If your request for verification has been denied, there are other ways to help let people know that you're authentic. For example, you can link to your Facebook profile or Page from your official website or Instagram profile. An account that hasn't been verified also has as much ability to develop and grow its followers as an account that has been verified, and can still request that impostors accounts be removed.
Can I reapply?
If your request is denied, we do not recommend re-applying unless there is new information that is likely to have a direct impact on the decision that was made.
