A Mixed Compilation Album is an album that contains multiple tracks mixed together, this varies compared to normal compilation albums as the tracks are mixed together into a continuous mix.
The formatting of a Mixed Compilation Album varies depending on the store/type of service the album will be released on i.e. streaming services and download sites.
You must create a release for the streaming or download stores as per the below guidelines. You will require access to the "Schedule" tool (in the Icon menu on the Release Details page) to tell the system where to send each release. If you do not have this tool, please request this to be enabled via the following form.
For Streaming Platforms
A Mixed Compilation Album is an album that contains a Continuous DJ mix that is cut up into individual tracks. The benefits of this are that each track play gets counted as a stream and therefore a royalty on the streaming services. This type of formatting also appeals to the streaming services target audience more as a mixed compilation product is more of a performance than just a compilation album.
